PAT 2009

Dear Colleagues,

© JerusalemShots.com On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am happy to invite you to participate in the 10th International Symposium on Polymers for Advanced Technologies (PAT2009). This important international biannual symposium will be held on 11-14 of October 2009 at the five star INBAL HOTEL in Jerusalem.

PAT biannual conference started at 1987, take place in Jerusalem, continued biennial conferences around the world, Oxford (1993), Pisa (1995), Leipzig (1997), Tokyo (1999), Eilat (2001), Florida (2003), Budapest (2005) and Shanghai (2007) . This PAT 2009 symposium is in honor of the 90th birthday of Prof. Menachem Lewin - the founder of PAT journal and symposium series.

The PAT2009 Symposium will provide a unique opportunity for researchers and experts from all around the world working in the field of polymer sciences to exchange information and to discuss future perspectives of the cutting-edge academic research in polymers and the latest advances in industrial polymer-related technologies. This symposium will allow us to strengthen the PAT society network by both promoting the existing relationships and establishing new connections.

The agenda of this symposium is to cover a broad range of hot topics. Among areas that will be covered are: novel polymers and dendrimers for biomedical and electronic applications, polymers and environment, high performance polymers and polymer composites for aerospace, polymers for packaging and coating, self-assembly polymer-based systems and polymers for forensic applications.

We encourage authors to submit their papers pertaining to the scope of the symposium, describing original work, reporting latest research results and indicating future directions. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and published in the proceedings. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality.

We will make sure that you enjoy your stay in Jerusalem. Being the capital of Israel, this city will fascinate you with its unique combination of thousands years of history and ultra-modern architecture, museums and markets (more about Jerusalem can be found here and here).

During the symposium, there is a variety of social events. You can enjoy a night of fine food and open-minded conversation at the Symposium Dinner. A guided tour in the Old City of Jerusalem will allow you to see the sights of this central Biblical place (more details).

If you have any queries, feel free to contact me and the members of the Organizing Committee at Avi.Domb.PAT2009@gmail.com.

We hope that you will be able to join us at PAT2009.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely yours,
